Droitwich Community Contact Centre opens

We now have power back at Droitwich Community Contact Centre and our systems appear to be fully functioning, so we are offering more or less a full service to customers.

There is a lot of tidying up to do, and a lot of work before the whole building is restored to full use, so please bear with us if we are a bit slow in responding to your requests.

Travelling theatre coming to Wychavon

Married To The Job

For 8 days starting 7th August we have Mikron Touring Theatre Company travelling through Wychavon bringing live theatre to various venues.

Married to the Job
Given the nickname Colossus of Roads by poet Robert Southey, Thomas Telford’s iconic designs are part of our landscape: the Menai Bridge, St Katherines Dock, the Trent and Mersey Canal, to name but a few.
But can you name an engineer at work in 2006? Why are the names of Richard Rogers and Norman Foster better known than….well…?
Having dealt with Trevithick and Brunel, Mikron now conclude their trilogy of plays about the great engineers with an exploration of the life of Telford 250 years since his birth and how his profession is viewed today. Is there room for another of his kind?
