In the current emergency full sandbags are available for collection at the following locations:
- Outside Evesham Community Contact Centre, Evesham
- Outside Furlong Depot, Droitwich
- Outside Civic Centre, Pershore
Please only take what you need up to a maximum of six per household.
six sandbags per household is a feeble allocation insufficient for anybody’s needs
We do not have a statutory duty to provide sandbags. However, in the event of heavy rainfall with a possibility of imminent flooding, we look to provide assistance to householders through making full sandbags available.
The amount is restricted to a maximum of six per household to enable a fair distribution to those properties at risk. If more are needed, then residents can call Client Services on 01386 565018 or email: client.services@wychavon.gov.uk
Alternatively empty sandbags can be collected from our Community Contact Centres at:
• High Street, Droitwich Spa
• Abbey Road, Evesham
• The Civic Centre, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Pershore
Sandbags can then be filled by purchasing sand at your local builders merchants.
Filled sandbags will be delivered to OAP’s and disabled householders where there is an imminent risk of flooding. Please call Client Services on 01386 565018 or email: client.services@wychavon.gov.uk if you require assistance.
